TIMMY MURPHY and Dominic Elsworth will be required at an inquiry at Wincanton on Thursday following the alleged changing room altercation at Newbury on Friday which forced Murphy to miss the ride on Hennessy favourite Our Father with a dislocated left shoulder.
A fact-finding inquiry was held at Newbury on Saturday, but was adjourned after senior stipendiary steward Paul Barton had taken evidence from Elsworth, valet Chris Maude and Paul Struthers, chief executive of the Professional Jockeys Association, as he was unable to interview Murphy, who was at home recovering from the injury.
Barton said: "I spoke to Timmy Murphy by phone but he wasn't well enough to come to give evidence. I've arranged to reconvene the inquiry at 11am at Wincanton on Thursday, though I'd hoped to conclude matters before then."
The alleged incident between the two riders occurred after Friday's 2m4f handicap chase, in which Elsworth was second on Easter Meteor and Murphy fourth on Upsilon Bleu.
Murphy's agent Chris Broad said on Saturday: "How long a dislocated shoulder keeps a jockey out depends on the individual, but I'm not booking Timmy rides in the immediate future."
Our Father finished a never-dangerous seventh in the Hennessy, beaten around 20 lengths in the hands of substitute Conor O'Farrell. Elsworth's mount Loch Ba, a market springer at 16-1, finished 14th.

There's racing at Carlisle on Sunday, and Donald is set to have two runners...
Moss Cloud - 12:20 Carlisle
Finished third in a bumper at Sedgefield in March and was a bit disappointing when we tried him over hurdles later that same month at Haydock. He surprised me a bit when winning at Newcastle on his reappearance, leaving his Haydock effort well behind and jumping better than he had done. He has to carry a penalty but on that Newcastle form he would have every chance here.
Gulf Punch - 15:00 Carlisle
She's been around the block, and is what she is. She's had four runs so far this season, the best of which was at Bangor on her penultimate start when she finished second in a mares' handicap hurdle. She needs to bounce back from a poor run at Ludlow last time but this looks to be the right sort of race for her, and I'd be hopeful of a fair run.

13:10 Sunday 1st December Racing Tips - 01/12/2013
A year ago I thought the days of tipping Don Cossack were over. He seemed a horse destined not to fulfil his potential and I've lost money on every back/lay I've placed on him…including when I opposed him first time out this year on chasing debut. So this is it Don Cossack because i think you're a good thing today at 11/4. Looking through what has beaten him, Annie Power, Pont Alexandre (maybe not so much Mozoltov) and Morning Assembly are all serious horses and I'm not sure there is anything of that class lining up here. Gordon Elliott's 6 year old is a far better chasing prospect than he was hurdler and is worth another chance. The horse that beat him last time looks very good indeed and I'm not worried about him dropping back over 2 and a half miles. The ground would be better softer but I still think he's very much the one to beat. Sizing Rio is progressive and won a Grade 3 last time but the races looks weak and there should be more in the market between the top 2. Fairyhouse 13.10 - Don Cossack 2pt win
Jezki must win the Hatton's Grace Hurdle and has been fortunate that the ground is not too soft. He handles soft ground but if this was a real test in a bog then there'd be major concerns about him seeing it out. Either way, Rule The World looks more of a bet at the prices but the race is best left alone. The following handicap is often won by the favourite and Sword Fish is a solid option after his comfortable win last time. He will see out the extra trip and, even with a 15lb rise, he may still be ahead of the handicapper. The one I like a a price is ex-Tim Vaughan inmate Thelobstercatcher at 14/1. He's moved to a yard that has sent out some impressive recent winners and he has shown steady improvement, bar an effort last time where he got off to a bad start. A step back up in trip could be just what he needs and he has undoubtedly dropped to a very lenient mark with better ground firmly in his favour. Fairyhouse 14.50 - Thelobstercatcher 1pt e/w

First Lieutenant is set to head straight for the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over the Festive period following his disappointing display at Down Royal last month. First Lieutenant: Heading for the Lexus Chase Mouse Morris' star chaser was placed on multiple occasions at Grade One level last season and enjoyed his day in the sun in the Betfred Bowl at Aintree in April. He has failed to fire in two starts this season, however, being beaten at odds-on at Punchestown before trailing home a well-beaten fourth in the Jnwine.com Champion Chase. The Betfair Chase at Haydock was considered and he is also entered in next weekend's John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase, but Morris is keen to give his charge a break before cranking things up for the second half of the season. "He is in the John Durkan, but I think we'll probably wait for the Lexus at Christmas," said the trainer. "We thought about the Haydock race, but his run in the north was so poor we decided to wait with him. "Nothing really came to light (after Down Royal). It was just one of those days and one of the mysteries of racing. "He seems to be coming back to himself now, so we'll see how we go in Leopardstown." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Stewards noted that HOBSONS BAY (IRE), which was pulled up, had interfered with DICKIE HENDERHOOP (IRE), placed second, who in turn interfered with KNIGHT VALLIANT, placed third, on the bend turning into the back straight, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.

Richard Rowe, trainer: Rowe said: GRACE AND FORTUNE " “She ran a nice race [last time] when the pace wasn’t fast enough, and has been dropped 5lb which puts her into this race nicely. I would like to have given her more time since that, but she appears to have come out of that race well. I think she would get away with 2m5f on heavy, but on this better surface 3m1f is ideal, so we’re hopeful. She stays, gallops and jumps. The topweight, Aimigayle, is such a hard horse to beat, but I like to think my filly has got a progressive profile, so with that 5lb she could be nicely handicapped.” " Grace And Fortune 1:40 Plumpton ==============================================================

17:20 Monday 2nd December Racing Tips - 02/12/2013
There's plenty of competition for the favourite in Kempton's feature handicap this evening and it's wise to have a good look at Secret Beau. He was yet to finish anywhere other than 2nd at the track until last time out, when squeezed for room early and a little too far off the pace to be competitive. I like plenty of the youngsters in this and Bowstar is another with every chance. He goes very well here and drops back in class from last time when his effort was a little better than his finishing position suggested. However, purely form a price point of view, Panther Patrol looks too big for this at 20/1. This should be run at a decent gallop but I don't think it'll be fierce as a few that have front run before have done so over further and some didn't opt for those tactics last time out. He appeared not to see out 7 furlongs on his only start at the trip but actually that race was a pretty slow time and I fancy he lacked a little speed to go with them at the business end (if that wasn't the case then he has little chance today). Staying on for both recent course efforts over shorter, and given the form of the latter looks pretty strong, I think he'll get further the older he gets. The yard is in good nick on the all weather and cheekpieces are tried for the first time, which may just eek out that little bit more. Kempton 17.20 - Panther Patrol 1pt e/w
Over at Plumpton, Further More could romp to victory in a modest looking handicap chase but I'm not brave enough to back a horse with his current form figures. We have to remember that he was running for a yard out of form last year but looked much better on chase debut last time before hitting 3 out and finishing tamely. He looks a better prospect over shorter and I'd take him in the battle at the top of the market with Mister Wiseman. However, the pair of Doheny Bar and top-weight Porters War are worth a pop in a relatively weak affair. The former has a good record here but I just worry he is carrying too much weight to justify supporting him at his current price. On better ground than he has had on 2 starts this term, Jeremy Scott's 11 year old is off a workable mark and should threaten back over a fairly sharp 2 and a half miles. He has form at Fontwell, no bad thing coming into a first effort at Plumpton, and drops in class for the first time in over a year. He was pulled up 3 starts ago but broke a blood vessel, found 3 miles too far on penultimate start, and made an error when competitive 4 out last time on ground that may have been too soft. No excuses today at 12/1, chance. Plumpton 14.10 - Porters War 1pt e/w

The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Mr Michael J Murphy, the rider of ROCK OF AGES, placed second, from 3 furlongs out. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they accepted his explanation and found him not in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2.
The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer that he had observed Ms P Feld using her mobile phone outside the designated area. They interviewed the rider and the Officer. Having heard their evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (D)33.1 and fined her £290.
3.00, fifth race
The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, TRINITY LORRAINE (IRE), ridden by Tim Clark and trained by Alan Bailey, compared with its previous run at Kempton on 20 November where the filly finished eighth, beaten by 18 lengths. They noted the trainer’s representative’s explanation that the filly benefited from the application of a first time hood and visor. They ordered TRINITY LORRAINE (IRE) to be routine tested.
4.05, seventh race
The Stewards noted that HOT SUGAR (USA), placed fourth and PRINCE OF PASSION (CAN), unplaced, had interfered with QUALITY ART (USA), unplaced, and ABOVE THE STARS, unplaced, on leaving the stalls, but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved HOT SUGAR (USA)’s placing.

The Stewards found Crowley in breach of Rule (B)54.1 and guilty of careless riding in that he manoeuvred his mount to the rail. They suspended him for 2 days as follows: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December 2013.
The Stewards noted that the winner, CAPAILL LIATH (IRE), had interfered with OCEAN LEGEND (IRE), placed second, approaching the line but after viewing a recording of the incident they were satisfied that it neither involved a riding offence nor improved CAPAILL LIATH (IRE)’s placing.
4.20, fifth race
The Stewards noted that NELINA, unplaced, had interfered with TAMMUZ (IRE), unplaced, approaching the one furlong marker, but after viewing a recording of the race they were satisfied that it did not involve a riding offence.
5.50, eighth race

John Ferguson, bloodstock advisor for Sheikh Mohammed, paid 4million guineas for Dancing Rain at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale in Newmarket on Monday evening. Dancing Rain: Sold for 4,000,000gns The five-year-old mare, winner of the Epsom and German Oaks when trained by William Haggas, is in foal to Frankel. Dancing Rain, a daughter of Danehill Dancer, was a renowned front-runner on the Flat and also claimed the British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes at Ascot in 2011. Ferguson said: "This game is all about reducing the odds, and for us to get the greatest chance of producing a Classic winner, buying Dancing Rain reduces the odds. "You can have lots of mares, but you need jewels - Sheikh Mohammed felt that she's a jewel."

David Pipe's Junior has been left at the head of the weights for Saturday's Betfred Becher Handicap Chase at Aintree following the defection of Prince De Beauchene. Junior (right): Tops Becher weights Junior has not run since Royal Ascot, when well beaten in the Queen Alexandra Stakes, and his sole experience of the unique Grand National fences did not last long when he fell at the second in the 2012 Grand National. The 10-year-old will shoulder 11st 12lb if he lines up. Walkon, second to Hennessy winner Triolo D'Alene in the Topham, Big Fella Thanks and Roberto Goldback are next in the weights on 11st 8lb. Pipe could also saddle Master Overseer, Bostons Angel and Swing Bill, while Donald McCain is considering the Becher for Across The Bay. The Cholmondeley handler said: "We've got Across The Bay in the Becher and he had a spin over hurdles at Wetherby behind Tidal Bay. "Kruzhlinin is also in the Becher but he may go to Kelso instead." Willie Mullins has two possibles in On His Own, a casualty in the last two Grand Nationals, and Vesper Bell. Planet Of Sound, Wyck Hill, Soll and Midnight Appeal are other interesting contenders.

Willie Mullins believes punters will see a much-improved Hurricane Fly in the Ryanair Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 29. Hurricane Fly: Will improve says trainer The nine-year-old set a new record for Grade One wins over jumps with a 17th success at the highest level in the Morgiana Hurdle on his comeback but he failed to impress many observers. Mullins said: "It was great to win his 17th Grade One in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown. "It was probably his least impressive performance, but he will come on enormously for that. "He loves it around Leopardstown and he has won six times around there. "He will go back there for the Grade One Ryanair Festival Hurdle on the final day of the festival. "Everything is geared towards retaining his Champion Hurdle crown at Cheltenham." A mouthwatering clash is in store as last season's Triumph Hurdle winner Our Conor is due to have his first start of the campaign. The four-year-old gelding sustained minor injuries after he ran in a Flat handicap at Naas in October. Trainer Dessie Hughes said: "I have been very happy with him and he was only held up for about 10 days after Naas, which was unfortunate as I would have liked to have run him in the Morgiana. "He is 100% and he'll go straight to Leopardstown at Christmas." Jezki and My Tent Or Yours also hold entries, as does Annie Power, but Mullins states the unbeaten mare is more likely to run in the woodiesdiy.com Christmas Hurdle 24 hours earlier. The County Carlow handler said: "She was very good at Ascot and she seems to have come out of that race well. "She has the option of the two-mile race, but we'll see and I have her in the three-mile race as well. "I would be optimistic that she will get that trip." Also due to run in the three-mile contest is the Charles Byrnes-trained Solwhit, successful at both Cheltenham and Aintree last season. "He was in the Hatton's Grace at Fairyhouse, but that race came too soon for him, so he'll head on now to Leopardstown at Christmas," said Byrnes. "He was very good at both Cheltenham and Aintree last season and, long term, we'd like to get him back to Cheltenham again." Nineteen entries were received for the three-miler.

Bright Applause looks the one to side with of those more prominent in the market for Segefield's handicap hurdle over 17 furlongs. He will appreciate the drying ground and the form of his last start looks more solid than the form any other runner brings into this. Travis County has major claims but if the former goes off bigger than the latter, then Richard Johnson's mount will look a very solid bet. Of interest at a bigger price are both Bonnie Burnett and Satanic Beat. The latter improved on the flat towards the end of the season and looks weighted with perhaps a little in hand on handicap debut. Bonnie Burnett makes plenty of appeal on her novice hurdle form at 10/1, and should be capable of running to a mark about 10lb higher solely based on that. However, she was poor last time and looks the model of inconsistency. The ground may have been the issue recently as she has under performed on heavy before and I think she'll see this out better on today's surface. A strong traveller that sometimes finds little, I actually think she lacks pace at the business end and a likely stern test here may be what she needs. We should certainly find out about stamina and she's worth a go off a career low mark. Sedgefield 14.00 - Bonnie Burnett 1pt e/w ===============================================

Alan King's stable has been left saddened by the news Invictus has badly broken down for a second time. More bad news for unlucky Invictus The seven-year-old had been off the track for 21 months after suffering an injury when beating subsequent RSA Chase and Gold Cup winner Bobs Worth in the Reynoldstown Chase in February 2012. Nursed back to full health by the Barbury Castle team, he was strongly fancied for the Hennessy Gold Cup on Saturday, for which he looked favourably handicapped, and ran a big race until a lack of a recent run told and he faded in the home straight. However, Invictus finished the race slightly lame and it has since transpired the injury is much worse than first feared. "He's broken down again in the Hennessy," said King. "It's the same leg but a different place and it's not looking good. "It's a great shame. He'd run a huge race in the circumstances and now this happens. "The owners had shown so much patience and my staff had worked ever so hard in getting back to fitness. "It's all very sad." Despite the huge blow to the Barbury Castle handler, his yard remains in top form with Sego Success' win at Southwell his 1000th winner over jumps in the UK and Ireland.

Don Cantillon is looking to keep his remarkable one-eyed winning machine As I Am to mares' races for the time being. As I Am and Conor Shoemark The Newmarket trainer is targeting a Listed mares' novices' hurdle at Haydock on December 21 in a bid to give her a second success at that grade following her win at Newbury on Saturday. Cantillon, who also owns and bred the daughter of Old Vic, said: "We'll just do exactly the same routine we did between Wincanton and Newbury. "The race at Haydock is definitely on the cards. I don't know what the ground will be like or how it might affect her. "It's two and a half miles, which shouldn't be a problem. It's exactly the same as what she ran in at Newbury, except that was over two miles. "I love training fillies and mares. She's been amazing and the fact she's missing an eye. She lost it as a foal. "She has another mare as a companion and they do everything together. They are in adjacent stables just separated by a chain. "We have her companion on her right side where she has her eye. Our mission is accomplished as she has black type. Anything from now on is really a bonus. "In a year's time she might go chasing, which could be very exciting. "I've got certain ideas. There's a race in April, a novice handicap hurdle for mares at Newbury over two miles, five furlongs. There's also a mares' novice at Sandown and there's a race over three miles I'm half-thinking of taking a chance in at Huntingdon. "I'll run her no more than every three or four weeks. That's best for her to keep her fresh. "Liz Bush deserves huge credit. She rides her every day and does all the schooling on her." Conditional jockey Conor Shoemark, who now claims 5lb, has ridden As I Am to victory to the last three of her six victories since June and Cantillon is to keep the partnership intact. "I made a big decision to give Conor Shoemark the ride at Newbury as I knew he couldn't claim in that race, but I made it ages ago," he said. "As soon as I saw him get on so well with that mare going from jump to jump he was going to have the ride at Newbury and it's still his ride. "They get on incredibly well. He gets a tune out of horses, jumping wise."
