Not so long ago, Luis Suarez was public enemy number one but in the fickle world of the Premier League, racism and biting are all forgiven if you can consistently score four past Norwich. Despite giving all the others a six game head start, the Uruguayan has a two goal advantage at the top of the scorer chart and is 5/4 from 25/1 to be top marksman come May.
And the joy at Anfield is all the more exuberant with Man Utd fast becoming the new Liverpool; once great, now in mid-table obscurity. Everton's moment of joy can be excused by the fact it puts United down to 9th, five points adrift of the last Champions League place occupied by the red scousers.
Masterminding a 1-0 Everton win over United last season may have been decisive in getting Moyes the Old Trafford hot seat but the same scoreline last night means his odds to be the next manager out are halved today, (100/1 into 50/1). The 20-time champions are out to 20/1 to make up a 12 point deficit - they're the same distance away from the league leaders as the relegation zone but are 5000/1 for the unthinkable.
Arsenal are yet to falter and you know things are going well when even Bendtner's getting in on the act. With a four point cushion, the Gunners are 13/5 to end their trophy drought with the Premier League crown. City - six points back - are the 13/8 favourites although they did their best to keep up their poor away record last night by trying to throw away a three goal lead. Chelsea are two ahead of City and we'd have faith that hook or crook, Mourinho will find a way to usurp his rivals. 7/2 is a very fair price at this stage.

TIP OF THE DAY The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally found some form. Two consecutive road victories have seen them climb to the dizzying heights of third in the AFC South at 3-9, above their opponents tonight who have lost an unthinkable ten on the bounce. Spearheaded by strong production from Maurice Jones-Drew and Cecil Shorts III, the rejuvenated Jags offense has scored 88 points in its last four games and should exploit a Texans D that hasn't been able to stop anyone in recent weeks. Andre Johnson is a threat but QB Case Keenum has regressed as of late, and lead back Ben Tate has been wildly inconsistent and continues to struggle with a gimpy ankle. At 8/5, the Jags can win their first home game of the season.

England are out to 33/1 to win the World Cup after being drawn in a group with Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica. The Three Lions open up against the Italians on Saturday June 14th in the tropical jungle city of Manaus (kickoff 2am UK time), before going up against Suarez and Cavani five days later. Could it be all over just six days after the tournament starts?
Hodgson's legions are 5/2 to win the group, and 11/10 to go out at this stage. Italy are 9/5 favourites to win it, which looks a strange move. We'd be on the Uruguayans at 5/2 on their home continent. The Costa Rica opener gives them the early aces.
Tougher groups exist as Group B has Spain, Netherlands, Chile & Australia, and Group G Germany, Portugal, Ghana and the USA. If Brazil can negotiate Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon they will take on the runners-up in Group B in the last 16. Germany and Spain are both on the drift with Argentina now 11/2 second favourites as they get Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nigeria and Iran. Messi is shortening at 11/1 for top goalscorer with this cannon fodder.
Belgium are in to 14/1, Colombia in to 22/1, and France 25/1 as they get the dream ticket of Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras.

THE DOGS ARE BARKING 09/12/2013 Ross Barkley is odds-on in places to be on Roy Hodgson's plane to Brazil after bossing the Arsenal midfield yesterday. One wonders whether the 'new Wilshere' will go the same way as the old one, who has tipped the scales from the next big thing to the 'most overrated' player around. As the England team takes several years to catch up with trends, Wilshere (1/4) and Tom Cleverley (6/5) are both shorter than Barkley to go to Brazil.
Cleverley should be outlawed purely on the basis he's part of Man Utd's festering abscess of a midfield; one which has them 13 points back and out to 33/1 for the title. You'd think Moyes would be safe at a club that presents itself as the antithesis of the Abramovich-Mansour birdcage, but the Glazers have everything on the credit card and missing the Champions League may be 'not an option'.
Stan James are 6/1 Moyes goes before the end of the season, a price we're tempted by as we can't see how the current squad will turn it around. A January move for Wesley Sneijder has again been touted, but he's only fit enough to count his money. Ladbrokes are a stand out 9/5 United claw their way back into the top four, and the magic sign also go 18/1 they finish in the bottom half. Moyes To Last Season

TIP OF THE DAY Both the Bears and the Cowboys are still in the playoff hunt, but neither would do any real damage there as both defences can't stop bad offences, let alone good ones. Tonight's Monday Night Football clash should be a points fest, but it's cold in Chicago so quarterbacks Josh McCown and Tony Romo may struggle to get things going. As if both teams didn't need the encouragement, the ground game will be at a premium as this is two of the worst run Ds in football. Big days are in prospect for Matt Forte and DeMarco Murray and 80-something rushing spreads for both need only two working legs.

Villarreal travel to Elche tonight knowing only a win (or 3-3+ score draw) will suffice to see off the challenge of the "Ilicitanos". Whilst both managers are expected to make some changes ahead of the match, Villarreal manager Marcelino may be slightly more inclined to play something like his best eleven, as their next La Liga engagement is Saturday afternoon at home to Sevilla; Elche, however, have a key Friday night clash at home to Malaga, and staying in the top flight remains their priority. With Elche lacking the squad depth to challenge on 2 fronts this season, there is a good chance that Villarreal (who recently won at Elche in the league) will prove the stronger over the 90 minutes and a chance is therefore taken on an away win at 5/4. =============================================== If your selection wins any Darts World Championship match with a final dart bullseye Boylesports will double your match odds. On a cold December day, we're already dreaming of the Brazil beaches so we've gone through each World Cup group and worked out all the steps of the 32-team samba. We expect heat to play a big factor and there will be no teams better at dealing with the conditions than the natives so we've opted for all five South American teams to win their sections.
African sides will be no strangers to sweltering conditions either and we like Cameroon at big odds to upset Mexico and Croatia, who struggled through qualifying. They have been downed twice by Panama and Scotland respectively in recent games suggesting weaknesses abound.
Chile could be the dark horses and can beat a Holland side fractured by egos, and also succeed Spain who may drop points in a revenge match with the Dutch but come through in the end. Uruguay will benefit from conditions and an on-form Suarez whilst Italy's World Cup nous will see England dumped out.
Ecuador, the weakest of the South Americans, are in a shoddy group and can take advantage of European woes. France will have just enough to follow in second ahead of Switzerland. The others are self explanatory; Germany/Portugal, Colombia/Ivory Coast, Argentina/Nigeria and Belgium/Russia are a class above their rivals. Nigeria are the biggest concern but again the heat should see them edge out Bosnia-Herzegovina for the last sixteen berth.
Stick a fiver on and you'll be a millionaire.

TIP OF THE DAY Tonight could be a tough night for a couple of favourites at Ally Pally. The ultra slow Mensur Suljovic has caused problems for numerous players in recent years and the Austrian will fancy his chances of springing another upset. Mark Webster is well off the highs that saw him win the BDO Worlds and then secure a Premier League spot, so 7/4 for a Suljovic win is the bet there. James Wade should have enough to get past Darren Webster later in the evening, but it's unlikely to be a demolition job. Webster has been in good form of late and, whilst the win will probably be beyond him, 9/5 to score the most 180s is big. Wade is more of a scrapper than a big scorer and Webster's five maximums in a losing effort this time last year could easily be replicated.

TIP OF THE DAY Fans of quickfire darts are in for a real treat tonight, with Adrian Lewis, Vincent van der Voort and 'Rapid' Ricky Evans all in action. Lewis is now vying for favouritism following Phil Taylor's shock exit and, given van der Voort is desperately out of form, it'd be no surprise to see Jackpot record his second straight sets win of the tournament. It's because of the possibility of a quick win in the Lewis match that we like the chances of King v Evans to produce the most 180s this evening. Their styles should compliment each other and the two players are evenly matched so there is a likelihood they'll be playing a couple more sets than Lewis and VdV. Having combined to hit seven 180s in the first round, as compared to six for the Lewis/Van der Voort combo, they are a must bet at 11/4.

TIP OF THE DAY The Hyundai Tournament of Champions begins on Friday with Adam Scott heading up the market. He deserves his status as favourite but it's not an event that has been particularly kind to favourites over the years. The Plantation Course measures 7,452 yards but one of the keys to success here is good approach play. Zach Johnson finished 6th here in 2009 (in a performance that featured a third-round 64) and we know from his famous Masters victory that he can still compete on longer tracks like this one. The 37-year-old comes off the back of a stellar 2013 season and at 14/1 is the call.

Out of the FA Cup, eleven points adrift in the league and little hope of Champions League success with their current woes, it's all about the League Cup for Man United.
Despite back-to-back defeats at home over the festive season, many still believe in the glory days and are piling into the downbeat Devils at 8/11 tonight at Sunderland. Though to be fair, away from the Old Trafford crowd sneering over their prawn sandwiches, things have been much better for Moyes - winning their last four on the road and not tasting defeat since the Manchester derby, eleven games ago.
Sunderland have also failed to beat United in their last twenty-three meetings with the last success way back in 1997. Wins over City and Chelsea at the Stadium of Light give a glimmer of hope of ending that barren run but the current trend dictates they'll save victory for the return in Manchester.
If there is an upset tonight, Ki Sung-Yong could be the one to 'unlock' the United backline. The South Korean scored recent winners against Everton and Chelsea and is a standout 13/1 to net anytime tonight.

TIP OF THE DAY Lionel Messi is set to return to the Barca line-up tonight as his side travel to Getafe in the Copa del Rey. The Catalans have regularly crushed the Madrid minnows in recent meetings, outscoring them 19-4 in the last four contests. A repeat is likely tonight so our Spanish tipster recommends backing Barca -2 at 17/20.

The Australian Open draw has taken place and Djokovic is now odds-on for a fifth title (fourth straight) in Melbourne. Undefeated since the US Open final, it should be plain sailing until the quarters, where he's seeded to face Wawrinka, whom he bested in two five-set classics last year. With Ferrer and Berdych heading a risible third quarter, this match should decide one finalist. Stan is worth a 50/1 saver in case anything happens to the Serb.
The other half is much deeper, with #1 seed Nadal landing a tough draw. Rafa opens against Tomic, then potentially Sijsling, Monfils, Hewitt/Nishikori, Del Potro and Murray lie in wait before the final. A finalist only twice down under, the 10/3 is not tempting.
Andy Murray has played just two competitive matches since back surgery in September, but the draw has given him a chance to get back into the groove. If he can handle the guile of Llodra or Feliciano in R3 this bodes well for the tournament, in which a last 16 with Isner could precede a QF against Federer or Tsonga. A finalist in three of the last four years (downed by superhuman Djokovic in 5 in the other), Murray loves Melbourne so has to be respected at an almost double figure price.
Ultimately we expect Novak to bag a seventh Slam. Click through for an alternative verdict.
