Ah think they have had this race in mind for Desert Sea for a while les.Needs good ground was tailed off behind Arc Bleu in 08 on soft & missed the race last year because of soft ground as well.
Neil Callan has a 45% strike rate when teamed with David Arbuthnot.

He'd have had a hell of a chance on the right ground in the Plate. He's a grand, gutsy stayer,but the key to him is fast ground. The race went perfectly for him today, as they went a nice, even pace and it was a proper stayers' race.
Ground looks ok for him today though course reports are that it is no as firm as yesterday. Ah`v got tae hav a wee win / load place on Desert Sea at 15.5 & 4.0 first 4 places.
He is 7 yrs old noo though and disnae hiv the improvement in him that Deauville Flyer will have.
