Since I downloaded the latest version of Opera browser I am unable to highlight words in post to colour them or add smilies. Any ideas please? None of the boxes are ticked below this message. I have just discovered that I am unable to add any tags as well.

Re above. I can post the smilies and tags with Firefox but not with Opera since the latest download. Sorry - I only use Opera to test in, so don't really use it for browsing as such to know where all the bits and bobs are. I have had a quick look, but nothing obvious.

Thanks
I think it must just be something I need to activate. Can you post smilies and highlight words and colour them when you use Opera?
When I try to highlight a word with the cursor it turns the normal blue colour but when I try to colour it it turns grey colour and wont highlight.

Ahhh... you're referring specifically to the KP site aren't you. I thought you meant generally. OK, well... [glow=yellow,2,300] This message[/glow] has been posted whilst in [glow=red,2,300] Opera[/glow]. BC

Perhaps you are using the Glow highlighter instead of just using the colour option at the end. In the message above I use the glow on "This message" and "Opera". Neither Firefox nor Opera are displaying the "glow" effect. But interestingly, it DOES diplay ok in Internet Explorer. So it would appear that it is the browser. It drives me mad - I have to try to account for these differences at work, and there are just so many variations. I think I'll go back to plain text !! BC

KP - are you talking about posting on the KP site in Opera, or Opera generally ? If the former, they are in the same place as in Firefox (that is, in the main Reply). If the latter, I don't know as I don't use Opera generally. Call me if you want to discuss - I'm here all afternoon. BC

How do I change this into hqw they come up on Performances? Thank You. Hi Banger YouTube videos - getting them to show up, rather than just a link...If you click reply, (in the bottom blue bar) rather than using the quick reply at the bottom, you get a range of options to include with your post, such as: smilies bolditalicsAND.. YouTube - which looks like this: Copy and paste the YouTube link into the message in the normal way. Then highlight the pasted link with your mouse. E.g. While it is highlighted, click the small red icon marked Tube, you will get a bit of code appear on either side of the link... [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93argkjkRxk[/youtube] By doing that, you get this... ...which is much quicker to view as you don't need to wait for YouTube to load. The long-winded way to achieve the same result in the Quick reply is to type the little bits of YouTube code at the beginning and end of the link. BC

Has anybody got a genuine disc for Microsoft office I can borrow please. I am thinking of purchasing a new laptop and they have told me that you now have to buy it when it used to be included in the package.

If you look on the league tables for the Tipping competition you will see that todays copy and paste of the scores from my office/microsoft site have posted different to other days. The scores have been posted underneath the names instead of at the side of them. Can anybody please tell me how I can get them to post side by side please?

Click Edit, place cursor at the end of the name line and click delete, which brings the line below with the score up. I've edited your post - then saw you'd re-posted ! When I update the scores I include them in a table, 2 columns and a number of rows. Using Microsoft word they copy as typed but using Open Office thats where the trouble lies. When I copy and paste them onto the forum that's when the numbers go underneath the names but Microsoft is OK.

If you ever have a problem getting onto the forum try support.proboards.com/second topic down SUPPORT BOARD. Might be a good idea to put this address in your bookmarks.

I have had the same thing happen to me. I suppose when they lose connection on the boards they lose their own as well. Sometimes it helps just somewhere to try if anybody is experiencing problems. Anybody recommend a 'memory stick'? Have been looking on the www and some get good reviews along with bad ones.

Don't know much about them, but I have a Data Traveller and an Easy Disk that were used quite regularly for three years or so, and I didn't have a problem with either.
I now have an external hard-drive, so the sticks are only used occasionally, usually holiday times.
