This morning I had to change my card details with Sky Bet because the old card was running out. I eventually found out that you cannot just change the card number you have to register a new card with them. I did this and then tried to withdraw money from my account onto this card and it would not let me. After 1 hour 5 minutes email chat and talking to somebody on the telephone at Sky Bet they could not transfer money back onto the card and would have to pay it into my bank by bankers order. I have never had this problem with other bookies so be warned. I could pay as much as I liked into my account with the card but could not withdraw on it. My account is now closed.

Would appear that it is not just Sky Bet but Master Card that have bought this rule in. So check before you use your card.

I seem to remember that I had the same problem with Befair a few years ago, so I don't think it's a new rule. It is an Internet security thing. Imagine you gained access to someone's account. You could add your own card, then withdraw their money. Although inconvenient, it's for our protection.
