When I close my computer down it disconnects me from the internet (Broadband) so every time I start it up again I have to reconnect. Not a big job I know but I am hopeless with computers and it takes me ages to find out what I have got to do. I suppose the more it happens the quicker I will get but there must be a way to stay connected. Any ideas please?

It sounds like you may need to change a setting. As you connect next time, look for a checkbox - something that says "stay connected" or similar. Or... When you turn your computer off, are you turning, or unplugging, your router maybe?

As BC has said look for a check box also you might consider creating a new connection not sure what operating system you have ? XP/Vista/Win7 but if you go to connection wizard in Network Tasks and creat a new connection make sure you pick the "Connect using a broadband connection that is always on"Also take a look at this link its for XP but may help www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/howto_i_client.mspxCheers Trebor
