Just hours after Monty Panesar was found marking his territory outside a Brighton nightclub, England retained the Ashes in anticlimactic fashion. The Aussies surprised by putting on a clinic with the bat at Old Trafford but England's blushes were saved by the rain, and with the urn safely tucked away Andy Flower's men can concentrate on re-establishing their dominance in the final two tests.
The 4th Test takes place at Chester-le-Street, a ground where England have never lost. The draw is short at 23/10 with rainy intervals expected throughout, but England's pace attack will relish the colder temperatures and overcast conditions after toiling in Manchester. Moreover, recent controversies and the poor performance at Old Trafford will have motivated the players and 11/10 about the home side looks a decent price.
It's no surprise to see Durham seamer Graham Onions called up to the squad; he has performed especially well at his home ground over the summer, having taken 44 wickets at an average of just over 20 in the Championship, and the 4/1 about him to take the most 1st innings wickets certainly appeals.
Shane Watson has struggled with the bat and reports suggest that David Warner will replace him at the top of the order. Warner made a brisk 41 against the fast bowlers and should thrive again without the threat of Graeme Swann in the early going - get on the 11/2 for Warner to top the Aussie bats whilst you still can.

The World Athletics Championships begins on Saturday, and in the banker category is 23yo Ukrainian Bohdan Bondarenko in the men's high jump. His comfortable 2.41m clearance in Lausanne last month was the highest since 1994, and he wasn't too far off Sotomayor's outrageous 2.46m world record. None of his rivals have jumped 2.41m outdoors; Ukhov won the Olympics in 2.38m, with others at 2.33m. At 4/6, make sure you perm him up in accas.

Hi Kim
Well its the 4th and final major of the year at Oak Hill country club. Rory Mcilroy is the defending champion but as we all know, he is going through a rough time at the minute. But believe me, he will be back, its just a case of when!
The course will be tough and ball striking and accuracy off the tee will be key.
USPGA Tips 2013
Brandt Snedeker @ 28/1
This guy can putt! Snedeker is one of the best putters on tour and is accurate off the tee. Its only a matter of time before he wins a major.
Zach Johnson 45/1
Again I have opted for an accurate player, Zach is not long but very straight. Zach has finished inside the top 10 in 3 consecutive tournaments. This is a man in form and this course could be set up perfectly for him
Hunter Mahan 35/1
Hunter is one of the best Iron players on tour. He's having a great year and he can add a major to it. Hunters wife has just had a baby and I find players are always in a good frame of mind after having a child. Hunter was actually leading the CAnadian open when his wife went into labour so he withdrew.
Tiger Woods was superb last week, destroying the field. It will be a great tournament and hopefully one of our selections wins.

Hi Kim
he football season has begun! While the Premier League sides are still mak- ing and taking offers for new players and psyching themselves up for their first matches next weekend, the action has already begun in the Football League. Sheffield United and Notts County were the first teams to take to the pitch as League One kicked off on Friday, 2 August. A 10-man Notts County put on an extremely brave per- formance after centre-back Gary Liddle was sent off in the first 15 minutes. However, it was the Blades who took this season's first three points with goals from McDonald and Maguire. This week, our resident betting expert has re- turned to heighten your enjoyment of the football season by recommending matches for single, double and accumulator bets. See below for his picks from this weekend's fix- tures.

Tip Of The Day Sedgefield Country Club hosts the Wyndham Championship this week, and it's a similar styling to Oak Hill. Course form is once again at a premium, as each of the last five winners had finished 8th or better in one of their previous three visits to Sedgefield. Jason Bohn hit the frame for a 200/1 place payout last month, and he looks worth following at 66/1 here, having lost in a playoff in 2009. His current form reads 22-9-2 so all the boxes are ticked.

What a result! The single, double and treble bets all came through last weekend with Peterborough, Derby and Fleetwood doing the business. Peterborough thrashed Tranmere 5-0, while both Derby and Fleetwood also kept clean sheets winning 3-0 and 1-0 respectively. The combination of odds on those three teams to win meant the treble paid out at 9.8/1, a very respectable return.

Crawley Town go into this game on the back of a very impressive 2-0 win away at high-flying Peterborough. With Gillingham failing to win a game so far this sea- son and the home advantage on Crawley's side, I can only see the result of this match going one way. At evens, a result for Crawley could significantly boost the profit of a successful accumulator. Having only lost one league game so far this season, AFC Wimbledon have been climbing the League Two table and currently find themselves in fourth position. This weekend they come up against York City, a team who haven't won a game since the opening weekend over a month ago. At odds of 21/10, AFC Wimbledon have been given a 44.44% chance to win here, which in my view is underestimating their potential. Perhaps the bookies are giving York the benefit of the doubt as they'll have the home advantage, but at these odds Wimbledon certainly offer better value. Crewe are having a terrible time of it in League One, fail- ing to score in three of their last four games, including their most recent defeat, a 5-0 thrashing by Swindon Town. Although Peterborough lost their last game, their first defeat of the season, I fully expect them to come back from that blip to winning ways, especially with the opportunity to do so against struggling Crewe. At 10/11, the bookies seem to agree, giving Peterborough a 52% chance to win, and a favourable result would certainly set us in good stead for a big return from the accumulator.

The Champions League proper starts this evening with holders Bayern Munich 1/5 to beat CSKA Moscow at the Allianz. The champs have picked up 13 point from 15 in the Bundesliga but that's "not enough" according to director Matthias Sammer.
Much attention will be on the Balealdo show of Real Madrid's visit to Galatasaray, and Los Blancos are out to 1.7 to win a fixture they lost 3-2 in last year's quarter-finals. They've never won in three trips to Turkey and the Drogba-led hosts have only lost two in 14 home fixtures in Europe, and one in their last eight Champions League matches.
Both Manchester clubs are in action, and both are also on the drift towards even money. United host Sami Hyypia's Leverkusen having lost four of their last six European fixtures at Old Trafford. City are at Plzen, who have won 11 of their last 12 home European ties; Napoli and Atletico Madrid among those defeated. Moyes and Pellegrini have made largely underwhelming starts to their reigns, and we think the market's right to take on the Premier League hype. A lay double pays 7/2.

Hi Kim
We have some Champions league bets for you tonight and a tasty 8/1 Accumulator.
Marseille v Arsenal
Arsenal have a good record away from home in the early stages of the Champions league. an interesting fact is that they are undefeated in their past 10 away matches against French opposition! Marseille on the other hand have a very poor record against English team, winning just 1 in the last 9, they have also failed to score in 5 of their last 8 Champions league games. Arsenal have are going well this season after a shaky start and i think they have enough in them to see off Marseille
Arsenal WIN @ 8/5
Chelsea v Basel
Chelsea have not seemed quite right yet this season. Maybe the expectations were to high with the return of mouriniho. Although favourites and rightly so, I was impressed with Basel last season. If they can get a goal I think it will be a tight game. Maybe they could get a draw out of this and at 9/2 looks the bet. I will also go for a correct score because If Chelsea get the first goal I think they will settle for a 2-0 win.
Draw @ 9/2
Chelsea 2-0 @ 7/1

Schalke
Dortmund
AC Milan

TIP OF THE DAY.
England's normally consistent cricket selectors surprised many yesterday by handing three uncapped players a spot in this winter's Ashes test squad. Gary Ballance and Ben Stokes may end up as glorified drinks carriers, but Boyd Rankin can make a big impact. The 6'7" paceman is arguably in pole position to start alongside Anderson and Broad, having outbowled rival Steven Finn and caused Australia's batsmen significant problems in the recent ODI series. Rankin should be perfectly suited to the bouncy wickets down under and, assuming he does get the nod in Brisbane, 10/1 to be top bowler is a huge price.

Eyecatcher.
The Championship League Darts is underway, with Phil Taylor defeating Michael van Gerwen 6-2 in the opening match. With arguably the hardest match out of the way, don't bet against The Power winning his remaining six group matches at nearly 4/1.
