Hi guys, is there anyone here who works for Fords Motor Company or who knows about there 2008 ford transits. My van heating gauge shows that there is a over heating problem so it shuts the engine down to stop any engine damage, so i have been told. The problem only arises when we have exceptionally hot weather. My van has been back to Fords 3 times, they tell me that there computer can find no faults with my van. On each ocassion i have been back they have updated the computer on the van, replaced the fuel filter and fitted a new thermostat. Could it be i just have a dodgy heating gauge that tells the computer that i am over heating and should i complain to head office and ask for my money back if they can not find the fault. I look forward to any solutions anyone may have.

My knowledge of mechanics does not extend to even knowing where the bonnet release is. So I doubt I will be much help on this query. Thanks be to the RAC. B "is no oil a bad thing?" C
