Verdict:
Just an experiment as this class is way below my standard. Yousini is the odd ball, as it recorded this figure first time out in a Cl2 at Newmarket but never came close again. Wild Edric can be expected to improve this year, and is another well-drawn horse that could figure. Tricky Dicky seems to have little going for it, but low drawn Brian The Snail has the figures to be thereabouts. Tathmeen is a multi-course winner, but over 5f and as the course rises towards the finish may find it hard to get home. So that leaves Heath Charnock as the most likely provided he’s fit enough. I’ll swerve Brian The Snail on account of the draw, and take a chance on Yousini.
In the Cl 3 at 17.05, Alignak has only won in non-handicap company, but seeing the stable he’s from he must have a chance. Of the ones I’ve got figures for, Good Tidings is well clear of the rest. So a punt on Good Tidings from Alignak is my suggestion.
