It's two for one day tomorrow 9th March.
As you may (or may not!) know, there will be a solar eclipse tomorrow, which will be total in some locations in Indonesia. I believe that it will only be partial in Jakarta from 6.20 am until 8.32 am. That would be a bit tricky going to work, as I normally leave the house around 7.30 when it would be darkest. However, the gods are smiling on us as the 9th March is also Hari Raya Nyepi, which is a public holiday. Hari Raya Nyepi in Bali is a New Year celebration like no other, as it is marked by 24 hours of silence from when the sun rises around 6 am until the next day. If you have the misfortune to be in Bali at that time then you have to stay inside all day, as everything (and I mean everything) shuts down; even the dogs don't bark! So all things being considered I'll thank my lucky stars that I'm in Jakarta and can have a lie in!
