Daily Wish
My daily wish is that we may See good in those who pass our way;
Find in each a worthy trait That we shall gladly cultivate;
See in each one passing by The better things that beautify
A softly spoken word of cheer, A kindly face, a smile sincere.
I pray each day that we may view The things that warm one's heart anew;
The kindly deed that can't be bought That only from good are wrought,
A burden lightened here and there, A brother lifted from despair,
The aged ones freed from distress; The lame, the sick, brought happiness.
Grant that before each sun has set We'll witness deeds we can't forget;
A soothing hand to one in pain, A sacrifice for love - not gain;
A word to ease the troubled mind Of one whom fate has dealt unkind.
So, friend, my wish is that we may See good in all who pass our way.

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters, Who never did, Who won't anymore... And who always will. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Precious Friend A friend is like a flower, a delicate rose in bloom, Or maybe like a sun filled sky that's chased away the gloom. A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise, Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies. A friend is like a heart that beats strong until the end. Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend.

A Friend
If I could catch a rainbow I would do it Just for you And share with you Its beauty On the days You're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain You could call Your very own A place to find serenity A place to be alone
If I could Take your troubles I would toss them In the sea But all these things I'm finding Are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain Or catch a rainbow fair But let me be What I know best A friend That's always there

Keep Trying
Two frogs fell into a deep cream bowl. One was an optimistic soul, But the other took the gloomy view. "We shall drown," he sobbed with much ado! And with a last despairing cry, He flung up his legs and said, "Good-bye!"
Said the other frog with merry grin, "I can't get out, but I won't give in. I'll just swim around till my strength is spent, Then will I die the more content!"
Bravely he swam till it would seem His struggles began to churn the cream! On top of the butter at last he stopped, And out of the bowl he happily hopped!
So what is the moral? 'Tis easily found; If you can't hop out, keep swimming around!

God's Wings After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park , forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast...because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live. 'He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge.' (Psalm 91:4)
My instructions were to send this to people that I wanted God to bless and I picked you. Please pass this on to people you want to be blessed.
Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone Special. To realize the value of a Friend...lose one!

This was written by a black gentleman in Texas and is so funny. What a great sense of humor And creativity!!! When U Black, U Black
When I was born, I was BLACK , When I grew up, I was BLACK , When I went in the sun, I stayed BLACK, When I got cold, I was BLACK , When I was scared, I was BLACK , When I was sick, I was BLACK , And when I die, I'll still be BLACK . NOW, You 'white' folks....
When you're born, you're PINK, When you grow-up, you're WHITE , When you go in the sun, you get RED, When you're cold, you turn BLUE, When you get sick, you're GREEN When you bruise, you turn PURPLE , And when you die, you look GREY. So who y'all be callin' COLOURED Folks?

In an recent interview, General Norman Schwarzkopf was asked if he thought there was room for forgiveness toward the people who have harbored and abetted the terrorists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks on America.
His answer was classic Schwarzkopf.
The General said, "I believe that forgiving them is God's function ...... OUR job is to arrange the meeting."

Beauty Of Our Friendship
Friendship is a Priceless Gift that cannot be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater than a mountain made of Gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear...
And in the time of trouble It is powerless to cheer...
It has no ears to listen Nor heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand.
So when you ask God for a gift be thankful if HE sends...
Not diamonds, pearls or riches... But The Love of Real True Friends.

Don't Grow Too Old
Don't ever grow too old for birthdays, Fun-things that you used to do, Don't give up your dreams because you Feel that they have not come true. Don't forget the sound of laughter, Or the love in someone's eyes, Don't trade memories for pleasures, All that in a moment dies.
Don't give up your zest for living, Saying you are much too old, Is this what you feel, or is it Something that you have been told? There's a valley deep within us, Where there is an eternal Spring, Where there is no sound of sorrow, And the birds forever sing.
Though your gait is not as steady now, As once it used to be, And your vision's clouding over things You used to clearly see, Do not let the weight of decades, Turn you into bitter gall, For with age there comes a wisdom, That is a blessing to us all.
Hold your years up like a banner, Wave it brightly in the sun, When folks tell you life is over, Tell them it has just begun. Loneliness can never touch you, If you won't allow it to, And in sharing love with others, ... God will give it back to you.

Take A Moment To Listen Today
Take A Moment To Listen Today To what your children are trying to say. Listen today, whatever you do, Or they won't be there to listen to you.
Listen to their problems, listen to their needs Praise their smallest triumphs, praise their smallest deeds. Tolerate their chatter, amplify their laughter, Find out what's the matter, find out what they're after
But tell them that you love them, every single night, And though you scold them, be sure you hold them tight Tell them, 'Everything's all right -- Tomorrow's looking bright!
Take a moment to listen today To what your children are trying to say. Listen today, whatever you do, And they will come back to listen to you.

The Way We Affect Others
We may not always realize that everything we do, affects not only our lives, but touches others too.
A single happy smile can always brighten up the day, for anyone who happens to be passing by your way.
And a little bit of thoughtfulness that shows someone you care, creates a ray of sunshine for both of you to share.
Yes, every time you offer someone a helping hand, every time you show a friend you understand.
Every time you have a kind and gentle word to give, you help someone to find beauty in this precious life we live.
For happiness brings happiness and loving ways bring love, and giving is the treasure, that contentment is made of.

The Size of Your Heart
It isn't the size of your house That matters much at all. It's a gentle hand and its loving touch, That makes you great or small.
The friends who come to visit, When out of your house they depart, Will judge it not by the style you show, But rather by the size of your heart.
It isn't how smart you are, Or the wealth you've found. Happiness comes from how you touch The lives that are all around.
Making money is not hard, But living life well is an art. How people love and regard you, Is all in the size of your heart.

When things in your life seem , almost too much to handle, When 24 Hours in a day is not enough, Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class And had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - family, children, health, Friends, and Favourite passions . Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else --The small stuff.
'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, You will never have room for the things that are important to you.
So...
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play With your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
'Take care of the golf balls first -- The things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked'.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Success
To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent
people and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life
has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

Christmas Greetings I wish you Christmas greetings, my friend, abundant blessings without any end, treasures more precious than silver or gold, faith that is strong and strength to be bold; love, laughter, a heart filled with cheer, and a generous spirit to last you all year.
Health and happiness wishes I send, for loving family, the kindest of friends. May starlight guide you along on your way, to the Babe, in your heart, asleep on the hay. There hope will find you and worry will cease as you open His gift, your soul will find peace.
Peace of Christ be with you,

Treasures by Ron Carnell It's so hard to find the perfect breeze, One blowing none too hard nor soft, Carrying a scent of wild flowers, And moving clouds about aloft.
It's so hard to find the perfect sky, One blue and deep and bright, Carrying a sense of openness With geese and wrens in flight.
It's so hard to find the perfect night, One warm, quiet and unflawed, Carrying a mood of solitude, And a closeness to our God.
Yet no perfection's so hard to find As that which you extend And none I'll ever treasure more, Than to simply be your friend

Slow Dance
Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
Do you run through each day On the fly? When you ask "How are you?" Do you hear the reply? When the day is done, Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores Running through your head? You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die 'Cause you never had time To call and say "Hi"? You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere You miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race. Do take it slower Hear the music Before the song is over.

I'm apathetic-ignorant Don't know 'n' I don't care, If yew don't heed which way yew go All roads'll git yew there... I'm jist a good example Of what it costs ta sin, I'd really like ta halp yew out ~ Which way did yew come in?
Tho sum folk thank that Heaven's Sum thunk-up nursery rhyme, The Good Book don't begin with "Now, once upon a time" ~ That devil's bin a-temptin' me Long as I bin alive, But I don't stop ta pick him up He always wants ta *drive*!
Hey, I ain't got no mind ta cozy-up In Luxury's lap, I'd gladly gnaw my best arm off Ta keep me from that trap... That rich man 'n' the camel's eye Strainin' ta swaller a gnat, Old hags know more'n princesses ~ Yew kin *quote* me on that.
Ain't had no luck with Love, folks Bin burnt until I smell, I shoulda read that ole church sign: "No Fire Exits in Hell!" ... 'N' when God comes ta beam me up I pray I'm not too fat, When my time comes, I'm OUTTA here ~ Yew kin *quote* me on that.

Winning Friends Anonymous Should you feel inclined to censure Faults you may in others view, Ask your own heart, before you venture, If you have not some failings too.
Let not friendly vows be broken; Rather strive a friend to gain. Many words in anger spoken Find their passage home again.
Do not, then, in idle pleasure Trifle with another's fame; Guard it as a valued treasure, Sacred as your own good name.
Do not form opinions blindly; Hastiness to trouble tends; Those of whom we thought unkindly Often become our warmest friends.

Nice Person
Hello there nice person Did anyone ever tell you, Just how special you are The light that you emit Might even light a star Did anyone ever tell you How important you make others feel.
Somebody out there is smiling About love that is so real Did anyone ever tell you Many times, when they were sad Your e-mail made them smile a bit In fact it made them glad For the time you spend sending things And sharing whatever you find.
There are no words to thank you But somebody, thinks you're fine Did anyone ever tell you Just how much they love you Well, my dearest "online" friend Today I am telling you.

One Thing To Never Forget
Your presence, is a present to the world. You're unique and one of a kind. Your life can be, what you want it to be. Take the days, just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles. You'll make it through, whatever comes along. Within you, are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself. So many dreams, are waiting to be realized. Decisions are too important, to leave to chance. Reach for your peak, your goal and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy, than worrying. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets. Don't take things too seriously. Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember, that a little love goes a long way. Remember, that a lot of love goes forever. Remember, that friendship is a wise investment. Life treasures, are people... together.
Realize, that it's never too late. Do ordinary things, in a extraordinary way. Have health, hope and happiness. Take the time, to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget.... For even a day.... How very special you are.

Linda Was Quite Lonely
Linda was quite lonely On the day of love. No one cared how well she fared Or which way she might move. No one thought her lovely Or dreamed of her caress, Or so she thought until she bought A sexy dark red dress.
That dress had seemed a failure, Though she had lost some weight. Some men stared, but no one cared Enough to make a date.
Her calendar was empty, As empty as her heart, When in this hell she heard the bell And jumped up with a start.
Could it be? Oh, could it? Here was her salvation! To her joy a delivery boy Was holding a carnation.
"Carnation-Gram," the boy said, And handed her the box. Who was it from? Perhaps someone Who thought she was a fox.
All Linda's sadness vanished As if it never were. That little flower had the power To set her heart astir!
And so when Johnny called her In a little while, She was primed in heart and mind To greet him with a smile.
So please remember Linda When starting a relation: Her mood reversed when she got first A single, cheap carnation!
