ma mothers heating packed in so she,s staying
a missed work one day it was the same day they were all stranded on the motorway ,one car full of backshift staff took 4 and a half hours to do a 30 mins journey lol put up the jack and victor sketch on one o there blackberrys

Its a pity Jack & Victor fell oot les we could have done with more of the same.
Aye we are nearly thawed oot still some snow on the ground but most of it off the hooses now.

Ah wis aff Mon Tues Wed last week & Mon this week.
Took three days Hols to cover for last week but found out yesterday that they are going to pay us for both Mondays so I will only lose 2 days Hols through it & no lost any wages.
We get 33 days hols a year anyway which is quite good.

the union has been fighting for things that most of its members where we work dont realy want ie family friendly policy an excuse for some folk tae come in when they like at the expence of others

Walter,
That's interesting to see how other folks are treated. The minimum holiday entitlement here is 12 days per year, plus the 13 public holidays. For certain of the Moslem holidays they give 'extra' days communal leave, but these are deducted from your annual allowance.
Glad to know you guys are eventually thawing out.

I work at a School as Recreational Assistant Oldtimer so plenty of term holidays.
We are thawing out in time for next cold front due to hit us on Monday lol.

Ive lived in Fife all my 45 yrs Les & have never seen it as bad as this. Last year was quite bad at times as well so it makes ye wonder if the next Ice Age is upon us.
It has been depressing stuff m8 espeicially for the auld biddy`s who cannae get out at all.
