Well done Walter, 1st & 4th. Better than I could manage, around 5th & 6th I think.
Still, I managed to find a link and actually watched the race; first time I've seen it since 1984!

Cheers OT I was fairly sure that i would have a contender from the shortlist 1st & 4th the other 2 fell. Someone had a right tickle as the winner was gambled quite heavilly...well done to AP & connections.

hi wattie just back fae aintree it was great the weather was fantastic but old blackpool does,nt get any better its a tired old town now ran down
done the old vdw using bhb ratings as class lto class split second and the mail christ it was smokin the mails ratings got the placepot up a couple of races there were 2 to pick from so picked the wrong ones of course, but still got the first fav and thumped ee aa williams got 16/1 so that paid for the the weekend and enough for ayr next week, back to work tomorrow speak to you soon
ps was impressed with vdw this way and at this meeting

Walter,
Another of my favourites who I was forunate enough to see at the opening of the Blue Note here in Jakarta - long since closed of course; working for a tourism magazine did have some pluses!

Many thanks for those tracks Oldtimer Lou Rawls was a wee bit before my time but i appreciate a lot of the older artists. The Isaac Hayes track you put up was class very touching indeed.Glen Campbell has a version of that track as well which i have listened to but must say i prefer the former. Hiya les its nice when things work out m8 glad to hear you enjoyed yourself & had a profitable weekend.

2.50 aintree
kyber kim........30.........29........59......1898.......120.....78 zaynar.............29.........27........56......1687.......118.....77
first column =ability, and is bhb rating marked out of 30 2nd=consistencey last 3 added up subtracted from 33 3rd column=sum of last 2 ratings 4th column=lto race class by finnishing position 5th=speedplus 6th=formcast
then shown in the style of the little owl example
kyber kim...169....29........59......88 zaynar........168....27........56......81
class is the bhb rating, reverse consistencey, and the OTHER CONSIDERATIONS are lto class, speedplus and formcast rated from 10 down

Well if its any consolation m8 i let Raptor run lto as well though he was evaluated as best in.He was double engaged at Yarmouth that day 8f & 10f if he had gone for the former i would have been on. It was a difficult one as some thought that he proved he stayed the 10f on the all weather on his previous run.The same source had him top rated today but he had no chance in that field m8 the winner was well considered in some quarters though.

Khyber Kim was top rated on every point...interesting m8

Getting back to Raptor it dawned on me after the race that he had been dropped in class quite a bit. When this happens sometimes the horse does not need to be strong at the distance as long as they are proficient enough the drop in class can help them over the line.
