Templegate's top tips for Sunday By TEMPLEGATE (Steve Jones)
MILLICENT SILVER (nap) should strike gold in the 3.30 at Ffos Las.
She likes testing ground and has twice run well since scoring at Lingfield in November.
This distance should be ideal.
CANDIDE (2.25 Ffos Las, nb) won over hurdles on Boxing Day and he ran well switched to fences last time at Taunton.
The more galloping track should suit him.
HOLLYWOOD ALL STAR (4.35 Ffos Las, treble) made all the running to score at Uttoxeter in December before finding 2m4f too far last time.
He should get his own way out in front and will be hard to pass.

Templegate's top tips for Tuesday By TEMPLEGATE (Steve Jones)
SPELLBOUND (nap) looks a magic bet in Taunton’s 2.40.
She showed promise in bumpers and has twice run well in good races since switching to hurdles for Kieran Burke.
Those efforts give her a decent chance and there’s every chance she will improve on her first run for Wiltshire trainer Alan King.
AT RECEPTION (3.55 Wetherby, nb) moved well for a long way before finding race-fit stablemate Spookydooky too strong at Doncaster last month.
He should be spot on today and the decent ground will help.
BLACKWATER KING (3.25 Wetherby, treble) finally clicked back into form with a nice Musselburgh success last time.
There should be more to come from him.

Templegate's top tips for Wednesday By TEMPLEGATE (Steve Jones)
USE the Force in Kempton’s 7.10.
STRATEGIC FORCE (nap) has won twice from three starts over course and distance.
He wasn’t disgraced on Wolverhampton’s different all-weather surface last time but will enjoy returning to his favourite track.
Lambourn trainer Clive Cox has his team in fine form and it’s always an advantage to have Adam Kirby in the saddle.
IKORODU ROAD (3.25 Doncaster, nb) likes this course and he’s slipped in the weights recently.
Graeme McPherson is another trainer firing in the winners.
PEARL NOIR (5.40 Kempton, treble) will be hard to catch.
He loves to blast off in front and he will like the drop to five furlongs after a decent effort over further last time.
Doncaster
2.20 Neck Or Nothing
2.55 Devilment
3.25 Ikorodu Road (nb)
3.55 Milan Bound

Templegate's top tips for Friday By TEMPLEGATE (Steve Jones)
BALLY BRAES (nap) should pay in Warwick’s 3.10.
He looked really progressive when scoring at Bangor in January and the race probably came too soon when pulled up last time. Useful claiming jockey Jamie Bargary – on board for his January success – is back in the saddle today.
MASTER MALT (4.20 Exeter, nb) won twice last summer and his fourth to Closing Ceremony at Haydock in November looks good form.
A three-month break since that effort should have done him good and Cotswolds trainer Jonjo O’Neill has his team in top form.
QUALANDO (2.20 Exeter, treble) jumped and travelled like a good horse when grabbed on the line on his British debut.
He should improve a lot for that effort and his age means he gets plenty of weight from most of his rivals.
Exeter
2.20 Qualando (treble)
2.50 Molo
3.20 Hannah’s Princess
3.50 Xaarcet
4.20 Master Malt (nb)
4.50 Minellahalfcentury

Templegate's top tips for Saturday By TEMPLEGATE (Steve Jones)
BY George, it’s going to be grey day for the bookies at Kempton.
As almost white CHARTREUX looks to have a cracking chance at a tasty price in the BetBright Chase (3.45).
Cotswolds trainer Tom George lifted this trophy twice with Nacarat — another dashing grey — in recent years and my fancy has also shown a liking for this track.
He looked set to score over course and distance last February before crashing out three from home.
But the losses were only lent as he went on to win at Sandown before landing a handicap at the Punchestown Festival.
He’s sure to improve for last month’s comeback run behind Ardkilly Witness and he’s at the right end of the weights.
Stablemate Ballinvarrig also has a chance. He scored over track and trip over Christmas but I think he’s better over shorter in a strongly-run race.
Paul Nicholls seems to be mopping up the big Saturday pots.
His Easter Day has a fine chance of keeping the run going despite falling on his return to action at Cheltenham last month. His defeat of subsequent RSA Chase hero O’Faolains Boy at Ascot last season makes him well handicapped.
Fox Appeal likes this track and could improve for the step up in distance but last year’s winner Bally Legend has been in shocking form this season.
GIVE the bookies both barrels with SHOTGUN PADDY in the Betfred Eider Chase (2.55) at Newcastle.
He’s a strong stayer and he gave it a good shot in attempting to defend his crown in Warwick’s Classic Chase last month.
A repeat of that effort should give him a great chance.
1.45 LINGFIELD
ALBEN STAR should book his ticket to the big Good Friday festival. He has a decent course-and-distance record and he hit the frame in some of the hottest sprint handicaps last summer.
His close second to smart Tropics in a Newmarket Listed contest in August shows he’s up to this level.
Rivellino narrowly beat my fancy at this track last year and is not without a chance despite being 3lbs worse off.
Instransigent will need a strong pace if he’s to repeat his Listed success over track and trip in November.
His record fresh is not great and he has to give weight to all his rivals.
Foxtrot Romeo and Hallelujah are both capable of winning in this grade.
2.00 KEMPTON
It’s ALL YOURS.
Paul Nicholls’ French import fell on his British debut but there was nothing wrong with his hurdling when he easily saw off a modest bunch at Taunton a couple of weeks ago.
He jinked around after hitting the front and gave the impression he would be better in a stronger race.
Beltor had Cape Catser well behind when making a successful hurdles debut at Ludlow.
The form has worked out really well so he is well worth a shot at this prize.
Bivouac was caught out in a slowly-run race behind Triumph Hurdle favourite Peace And Co at Cheltenham last month.
He will run better today.
2.20 NEWCASTLE
TEO VIVO has been in the form of his life since return to hurdles from fences.
The switch to local trainer Pauline Robson has also worked the oracle and he was a bit unlucky behind in-form Streets Of Newyork at Musselburgh last month as he stumbled at a crucial stage.
He remains well weighted.
Fisher ran poorly on the Flat last month but he’s much better over hurdles, while progressive novice Smooth Stepper is likely to find a few too quick for him over today’s shorter trip.
2.35 KEMPTON
I’m praying for the ground to continue to dry out for GOD’S OWN.
He’s twice got stuck in the mud since handing out a beating to Ryanair Chase fancy Balder Succes at Exeter in November. His Grade 1 victory at last year’s Punchestown Festival — when Champagne Fever was behind — shows how good he is.
Irish Saint improved for the step up to 2m5f when scoring at Ascot in December.
So It was disappointing to see him brushed aside by Irish raider Gitane Du Berlais in the Scilly Isles Chase at Sandown.
Melodic Rendezvous ran a cracker when chasing home Southfield Theatre at Exeter two weeks ago but it’s a worry that Exmoor trainer Jeremy Scott has yet to saddle a winner this year.
2.55 NEWCASTLE
SHOTGUN PADDY should shoot his Eider rivals down.
He came within a neck of landing the four-mile National Hunt Chase at last season’s Cheltenham Festival having lifted the Classic Chase at Warwick as a novice earlier in the season.
It was a fine effort to finish third in that valuable contest this year and he clearly carries big weights well.
Wyck Hill - a promising second over hurdles last month — is 8lbs higher than when landing this race 12 months ago.
That might not stop him.
Knockanrawley looked in need of a dour test of stamina when scoring at Newbury over Christmas and is another to consider.
3.10 KEMPTON
Give the bookies hell with DAYS OF HEAVEN.
He has been really tricky at the start — losing many lengths on several occasions — but Nicky Henderson’s team are a live to the problem now.
They got him off on terms when he scooted home at Doncaster last month and a slow start is his biggest danger again today.
Vago Collonges drops in distance after finishing third in a hot Cheltenham contest last month.
But I’m not sure it’s what he wants and it’s his lack of resolution rather than stamina that’s the problem.
The Grey Taylor looks short of this level and he’ll find it hard to give weight away all round.
3.25 LINGFIELD
The forecast looks Cloudy in the Winter Derby Trial.
CLOUDSCAPE won on the sand at Kempton on his debut last winter and he went on to develop into a smart performer.
He was twice fourth in Group 3 contests and is the type to do even better this year.
Trainer John Gosden has slapped blinkers on for the first time which suggests he’s ready for his first run since July.
Stablemate Maverick Wave should ensure there is no hanging about.
This progressive front-runner has been successful on all three visits to this track and he deserves a crack at a race like this.
Last year’s winner Grandeur undoubtedly sets the standard.
He’s won on all three times he’s dropped into Listed class and it’s always a bonus to have Ryan Moore on top.
3.35 CHEPSTOW
Sussex trainer Gary Moore will be hoping for a victory from last year’s Champion Chaser Sire De Grugy as he squeezes in a Cheltenham prep run for his stable star.
He unseated on his return to action in the Game Spirit at Newbury two weeks ago and Moore clearly thinks he needs another run before he attempts to defend his crown at next month’s Festival.
But Chepstow in testing ground exposes any fitness problems and only one horse has won a handicap with Sire De Grugy’s current rating of 172 or higher in the last 10 years from nine runners — and that was Denman.
So I’m taking him on with useful novice FAR WEST.
He is nicely weighted on his Newbury victory over Christmas, ran well last time and has no problem with testing ground.
Grey Gold’s good course record also makes him a player.
3.45 KEMPTON
CHARTREUX will shine in the BetBright Chase.
